Pain, pain, go away - come again on Doris Day…
Ouch…lately, every time I run I get this ache up the inside of my right shin. Sometimes it stops after a while but today it didn’t. I thought the pain was a by-product of my old sneakers but perhaps not.
Oh, in other exciting news, when I went to give myself a touch-up “fake-i-cure” this morning before church (the polish on my toes looked pretty ragged and I was wearing open sandals), I found that one of my toenails on my left foot had just fallen off.

Sounds like you have a shin splint, could be from worn out shoes, or a sudden increase in distance or speed, or to much pounding the pavement. Try off road if you don’t already. As far as the toenail goes, sounds like your shoes are not wide enough. I would go to a specialty running shoe store if you have not already done so. Stay away from the typical sport shoe stores in the mall, they don’t know anything. Also, get someone to measure your foot to see if you need a wide, etc, then stick to it. Shoes are the most important thing! I hope this helps.
Ah, I had the same thing happen last year only a few months before my wedding. I was wearing open toes shoes with half a nail on my wedding day! Thank goodness for a big puffy dress
